Every year Canyon celebrates the tradition of Lent. Recommended reading is the paper by Pastor Art Lyons which gives the history and explanation why we celebrate The Tradition of Lent.

Study of 1st Corinthians

Paul founded the church in Corinth on last part of his second missionary journey as mentioned in Acts 18:1-17. While he was there on his second and or third missionary journey he may have written four epistles, Romans, Galatians, and 1st and 2nd Thessalonians.

Study of Jude

Pastor Art Lyons' teaching on Jude.

It is believed by many scholars that this Jude who wrote this letter is the Lords’ half brother. One reason is that this Jude states that he has a brother named James that he takes time to mention. This James, is most likely the half brother of Jesus.
(Matthew 13:55) and one of the Jerusalem church elders.

Pastor Art Lyons' teaching on Philippians.

Philippians is also known as one of the Prison Epistles, the other ones are: Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon

Paul wrote this epistle and the other prison epistles when he was incarcerated in Rome waiting to appeal his offense to Caesar Nero.Interestingly, some have called this the epistle of Joy because Paul uses the word joy multiple time in this letter. He uses the name Jesus Christ over 40 times in this letter.
